Gears of War: E-Day Collectibles Guide: Hard Cases, Supply Caches & Side Objectives
How Gears of War: E-Day Campaign completion works, including all collectible categories, Hard Cases, Supply Caches, Secondary Objectives and their achievements.

Gears of War: E-Day has several different Campaign completion categories, and they do not all count as the same type of collectible.
For 100% completion you need to track 140 Collectibles, 125 Hard Cases, 36 Supply Caches and 17 Secondary Objectives across the five Campaign Acts.
E-Day Completion Checklist
| Type | Total | Related achievement |
|---|---|---|
| Collectibles | 140 | Memories From E-Day |
| Hard Cases | 125 | Relax. I'm the Map. |
| Supply Caches | 36 | Quartermaster |
| Secondary Objectives | 17 | Side Piece |
These categories also matter for the larger Insane/100% completion achievements, so it is worth clearing side content while you move through each Act.
Collectibles
Traditional collectibles are lore items found throughout the Campaign.
When you are close to one, listen for the familiar audio cue. In sections that give you a map, discovered collectible locations can also be easier to track from the map screen.
For exact early-game locations:
Hard Cases
Hard Cases are more important than normal lore pickups because they provide weapon and tactical upgrade progress.
The game alerts you when one is nearby, and Tac-Com can help you locate them. On larger map-based sections, Hard Cases can also appear as you explore.
Finding all 125 is required for Relax. I'm the Map.
Supply Caches
Supply Caches are tied to Campaign unlocks and loadout progression.
There are 36 across the Campaign, and fully unlocking their item pool is required for Quartermaster.
Do not confuse Campaign Supply Caches with Horde Siege Supply Caches. They share the same general idea of equipment access, but the progression around them is different.
Secondary Objectives
Secondary Objectives are optional jobs found while moving through Kalona.
Some are clearly signposted, while others begin when you approach civilians, a firefight or another point of interest. Make sure you actually accept the objective when prompted; simply entering the area is not always enough.
Completing all 17 unlocks Side Piece.
What Counts Toward 100% Campaign Completion?
For the major completion achievements, plan around all four categories:
- Collectibles
- Hard Cases
- Supply Cache unlocks
- Secondary Objectives
The safest approach is to clear each Act before moving too far ahead, especially in larger sections where a missed objective can mean replaying part of the Act.
Start With Act 1
Act 1 is much more linear than the larger areas that follow, making it a good place to learn the collectible audio cue and how the game places items just off the main route.
Our Act 1 guide covers all 13 standard collectibles in the opening Act.
Act 2 Gets Much Bigger
Act 2 opens up substantially and contains a much larger collectible sweep. Our Act 2 collectible guide breaks the standard collectibles down by chapter so you can check them off without scrolling through Hard Cases and side missions at the same time.
We will add Acts 3–5 as exact routes are cross-checked from live gameplay.
