How to Get Two Grubs, One Gut-Punch in Gears of War: E-Day

Two Grubs, One Gut-Punch is worth 15 Gamerscore and asks you to take out two Locust with a single Gut-Puncher round.

The important part is not simply hitting two enemies. Both kills need to come from the same projectile/explosion.

How to Unlock Two Grubs, One Gut-Punch

1. Equip the Gut-Puncher.
2. Wait for two Locust to group close together.
3. Fire a round into or between the pair.
4. Time the detonation so the blast catches both enemies.

The weapon lets you control when its explosive round detonates. On an Xbox controller, hold the trigger after firing and release it when the projectile is in the right position.

Watch the orange targeting/grid effect around the projectile to judge the blast area.

Best Setup

Do not waste attempts on two healthy enemies standing far apart.

The easiest setup is a dense fight where two standard Locust move through the same piece of cover or push through a narrow lane together. If necessary, soften both enemies first, then use the Gut-Puncher for the double kill.

Once you have unlocked access to the Gut-Puncher, Supply Caches can make it easier to bring the weapon back into your loadout for another attempt.

If the Achievement Does Not Unlock

The most common problem is that only one enemy died from the explosive round.

Make sure:

• both enemies are inside the same blast area
• another squadmate or damage source does not finish one of them first
• the two kills happen from one Gut-Puncher round
