Palworld 1.0 Resource Farming Guide: Best Ways to Get Every Material
A Palworld 1.0 resource farming guide covering the best ways to get wood, stone, ore, organs, oil, gold, coal, sulfur, quartz, Chromite, Hexalite, Coralum, Soralite, ancient parts, cakes, and more before the true endgame.

This guide focuses on the best ways to get building and crafting resources up to around level 70, before you fully move into World Tree endgame farming.
That means this is mostly for mid-game and late-game players who already have basic resource generation set up and want faster, cleaner ways to farm everything they need.
Best World Setting for Farming Pals
Before farming resources, one useful setting to know is Pal appearance rate.
Setting Pal spawns to 1.9x is a strong sweet spot. It gives you more regular Pal spawns without crossing into the full 2x setting, which can also duplicate boss spawns.
If you want more Pals for farming, ranch workers, drops, or captures, 1.9x is a useful setting without making bosses much more annoying.

How to Make Ranch Farming Better
The ranch is one of the most important resource buildings in Palworld 1.0.
Different Pals generate different materials at the ranch, and you can improve ranch output in a few ways.
First, increase the Pal’s farming work skill level. Higher farming levels mean better production. You can improve this with handbooks, which are guaranteed drops from Lucky Pals, so always catch Lucky Pals when you see them.
Second, condense your ranch Pals. Condensing increases partner skill strength, and many ranch drops are tied to partner skills. This means higher star ranks can improve ranch production even when the work suitability level does not visibly change.
Third, improve work speed. Ranch work is affected by work speed, so feed ranch Pals good work-speed food and use useful passives like Remarkable Craftsmanship, Artisan, Serious, Work Slave, or nocturnal passives so they keep working overnight.
You can also use a Monitoring Stand to disable every job except ranching. This keeps your ranch Pals focused only on producing materials.

Basic Resources
Wood is best farmed with the Logging Site, unlocked at level 7. Place it in your base and assign lumbering Pals to generate wood passively.
Stone works the same way with the Stone Pit, also unlocked at level 7. Mining Pals can generate large amounts of stone without needing natural nodes.
Paldium Fragments can be made with a Crusher by converting stone into Paldium. Later, the Refrigerated Crusher gives more options, including turning ore into Paldium at a better rate.
Meteorite fragments can also be crushed into Paldium. If you want to farm meteors more often, reduce the meteorite or supply drop spawn rate setting to make them appear more frequently.
Fiber is still mainly made by putting wood into a Crusher. There is no major new shortcut here, so your fiber production mostly depends on how well your wood farm is running.
Ranch Materials
Many annoying monster-drop resources can now be handled through ranch farming.
Wool can be farmed with wool-producing Pals. Cremis and Melpaca are good early choices because they start with stronger farming suitability.
Flame Organs can be farmed from ranch Pals such as Rooby, Flambelle, or Kelpsea Ignis.
Ice Organs can be farmed with Foxcicle. A level 15 Alpha Foxcicle is a useful early way to get a better ice organ producer.
Electric Organs can be farmed with Sparkit, which is easy to find early.
Venom Glands can be farmed with Depresso or Caprity Noct. Depresso is available earlier, while Caprity Noct can also be found as an Alpha Pal.
Pal Fluids can be farmed through Kelpsea, which makes it a useful ranch Pal if you do not want to farm water-type Pals manually.
High Quality Pal Oil can be farmed with Dumud. Dumud Gild is usually better early because it has a higher farming skill level and can also produce gold, although regular Dumud may become more consistent for only oil if heavily upgraded.
High Quality Cloth is farmed with Sibelyx. Sibelyx Primo is even better because it starts with a higher farming level and can be bred using Sibelyx with Lupore or Lupine from Sun Reach.
Leather can be farmed with Surfent, which is a very useful solution because leather used to be one of the more annoying materials to gather.
Gold Farming
Gold can be farmed passively or actively.
For passive gold, use ranch Pals like Mau or Dumud Gild. Mau focuses only on gold but starts with lower farming level. Dumud Gild can produce both gold and High Quality Pal Oil.
For active gold farming, selling certain Pals is much better.
Dumud Gild sells for a very high amount of gold compared to most Pals, even compared to some stronger Alpha Pals. You can catch them around the north shore of Sakurajima or get them through fishing.
Turtacle Terra is another strong gold option. It sells for slightly less than Dumud Gild but is still very valuable.
You can also sell Soralite ore later, but it is usually better to keep that for crafting if you still need it.
Mid-Game Mining Resources
Bones can be farmed at the ranch. Sweepaeler is a good option because it starts with a higher farming level than the other bone-producing choices.
Ore becomes easy once you unlock the Ore Mining Site at level 24. Later, Ore Mining Site II unlocks at level 39 and becomes the better option.
If you need to manually mine ore, Mammorest is useful because it increases mining and lumbering efficiency while mounted. Turtacle is also helpful because its partner skill reduces ore weight.
Coal can be automated with the Coal Quarry, unlocked at level 37. Before that, a strong coal location is the desert area near Alpha Suzaku, where you can find multiple coal nodes together.
Sulfur can be automated with the Sulfur Quarry, unlocked at level 46. Before that, look for mining spots with several sulfur nodes grouped together.
Pure Quartz becomes automated with the Quartz Quarry at level 52. Some good sulfur spots also include Pure Quartz nodes, so you can farm both at once before unlocking the quarry.
Hardwood and Crude Oil
Hardwood is a new Palworld 1.0 material.
At level 43, you unlock Logging Site II, which produces hardwood. This does not replace the original Logging Site. It is a separate station for a different resource.
For manual hardwood farming, destroy trees in the desert-style areas around the middle of the map. Sakura trees on Sakurajima also give hardwood, and most higher-level regions include trees that count as hardwood.
Crude Oil is easier to farm than before.
At level 50, you can build the standard Crude Oil Extractor, which needs an oil node. At level 51, you unlock the High-Pressure Crude Oil Extractor, which can generate oil without an oil node.
The high-pressure version uses more electricity, but it means you no longer need to build an entire base around oil nodes unless you want maximum production.
Good oil-node base spots include islands with several oil nodes grouped close together, especially around the starting region and near the desert coast.
Chromite, Hexalite, Coralum and Soralite
Chromite is one of the more awkward resources because there is no simple base automation for it.
The best method is to use Smokie, whose partner skill helps reveal nearby Chromite. Caves on Feybreak Island are strong places to farm it, especially boss rooms and caves containing Pals that already drop Chromite.
Hexalite Quartz can be automated with the Hexalite Quartz Mine at level 62.
Before that, look for base locations with multiple Hexalite Quartz nodes and, ideally, a crude oil node nearby. Feybreak dungeons are also good for manual Hexalite mining.
Coralum Ore is farmed through salvage.
You need a swimming mount and Powerful Fishing Magnets. Ride around the coast of Feybreak Island and look for salvage spots in the water. Each salvage uses one magnet and gives Coralum.
Gelaroy is useful here because its partner skill improves salvage rewards.
Soralite is found in the Sky Island biome.
The Soralite Quarry unlocks at level 72, but before then, you can mine Soralite manually across Sky Island. Look for the glowing weak spot on the node and use the multi-cutter tool to break it quickly.
For base farming, use areas with multiple Soralite nodes inside one base radius.
Ancient Civilization Parts, Manuscripts and Cores
Ancient Civilization Parts can be farmed from Alpha Pals.
Any Pal species with an Alpha boss version can drop ancient civilization parts. If you breed or hatch an Alpha version of that same species, it can share the same drop pool.
This means you can breed Alpha Pals, then butcher them for ancient civilization parts.
For better results, use passives like Lavish Hospitality or Service-Minded, which increase dropped materials when the Pal is butchered.
Ancient Pal Manuscripts mainly come from expeditions. Run the highest-level expeditions you can handle.
Ancient Civilization Cores start appearing in stronger expeditions, especially from Astral Frost Cavern and beyond. Expeditions become one of the best long-term ways to collect these alongside other rare rewards.

Cake Ingredient Farming
Basic cake ingredients should already be automated by mid-game, but Palworld 1.0 adds more advanced cake types.
For Mushroom Cake, use Shroomer at the ranch for mushrooms and cavern mushrooms.
For Vegetable Cake, you need tomato and lettuce. Both can be grown from plantations once you have the seeds. Vaelet can also produce different seeds at the ranch.
For Extravagant Vegetable Cake, you need cotton candy, potatoes, onions, and carrots. Potatoes, onions, and carrots can be grown through plantations. Cotton candy can be farmed at the ranch with Woolipop.
For Special Cakes, which are above level 70, you need rarer ingredients such as caramel cotton candy and Mammorest meat.
Caramel cotton candy comes from Woolipop Terra, a new Woolipop variant. You can breed it early using Woolipop and Killamari.
For Mammorest meat, breed Mammorest in bulk and butcher them. Again, Lavish Hospitality and Service-Minded help increase the amount of material you get.

Final Tips
Palworld 1.0 gives you more ways to automate resources than ever before, but not every material is handled the same way.
The easiest resources come from base stations like the Logging Site, Stone Pit, Ore Mining Site, and quarries. The annoying monster-drop materials are best handled through ranch Pals. The higher-end resources, like Chromite, Coralum, Hexalite, and Soralite, still need more active farming until you unlock stronger automation.
If you want to make farming smoother, focus on improving your ranch Pals, running expeditions often, and unlocking the better base machines as soon as possible.
Once you have those systems running, most mid-game and late-game crafting materials become much easier to manage.
