Star Wars Galactic Racer: All 12 Tales of Podracing Events & Objectives
Complete all 12 Tales of Podracing events in Star Wars Galactic Racer with event objectives, unlock requirements, rewards, and tips for each race.
There are 12 Tales of Podracing events in Star Wars: Galactic Racer, starting with Memories of Mos Espa and ending with The Harder They Fall. The early races focus on finishing first; Events 4–12 add specific combat or hazard objectives that must be met as well as a first-place finish.
This guide lists the events in unlock order, their tracks, objectives, available rewards, and practical ways to approach the harder challenges.

How to unlock Tales of Podracing
- Finish Act I and enter Act II of the Campaign.
- Progress until you reach Jakku in Act II, which unlocks the first Tale, Memories of Mos Espa.
- Look for Sebulba in the between-event hub. Speak to him when his Tales of Podracing interaction is available.
- Win the first event to unlock the next entry in the chain. Return to Sebulba as you progress to access additional events.
Tales of Podracing are separate from Arcade Podracing. Winning an Arcade race will not substitute for completing one of these twelve memories. If an event is not currently available, continue the Campaign and check for Sebulba again; A Pretender Approaches explicitly requires additional Campaign progress as well as the preceding Tale.

The secondary objectives are not optional: meeting the combat requirement but finishing second does not count as a win. Likewise, winning without completing the listed objective is not sufficient.
1. Memories of Mos Espa
Track: Mos Espa Speedway, Tatooine
Unlock: Reach Jakku in Campaign Act II and speak to Sebulba.
Objective: Finish in 1st place.
Next event unlocked: Legends of Speed.
This first Tale introduces Sebulba's flashback races. There is no separate weapon challenge to manage, so concentrate on learning how the podracer responds to corners and boosts. Use airbraking for tighter turns, then accelerate once you have lined up the exit rather than carrying too much speed into the wall.
Winning this event also completes the Now This is Podracing! achievement/trophy and unlocks the Feet First Favor.
2. Legends of Speed
Planet: Lantaana
Unlock: Win Memories of Mos Espa.
Required result: Finish in 1st place.
Next event unlocked: Hot Shot.
The second Tale moves to Lantaana, where the scenery and racing lines differ from Mos Espa. Focus on a clean run and preserve speed through the winding sections instead of committing to a risky boost in the middle of a turn.

3. Hot Shot
Track: Mawhonic Speedway, Ando Prime
Unlock: Win Legends of Speed.
Objective: Finish in 1st place.
Next event unlocked: Day of the Flame Vents.
Hot Shot is another pure race, but the Ando Prime environment introduces a different rhythm from Tatooine and Lantaana. Prioritize staying on course. If a boost would leave you badly positioned for the next corner, use it on a straighter stretch instead.
Focus on reaching the finish line in first place to clear the event.
4. Day of the Flame Vents
Track: Mos Espa Speedway, Tatooine
Unlock: Win Hot Shot.
Objectives: Hit 3 opponents with Flame Vent and finish 1st.
Reward: Flame Vent ability and 2,000 credits.
Next event unlocked: Whatever It Takes.
This is the first Tale in the sequence with a specific attack requirement. Avoid immediately breaking away from the other racers: you need to remain close enough to land Flame Vent hits before taking the lead.
Aim to complete all three hits early while the pack is still together. Once the objective is satisfied, switch your focus entirely to getting back to first place. Don't spend the last stretch chasing extra hits you no longer need.
5. Whatever It Takes
Track: Holdfast's Folly, Lantaana
Unlock: Win Day of the Flame Vents.
Objectives: Take down 3 opponents and finish 1st.
Reward: Impact Surge ability and 2,000 credits.
Next event unlocked: Other Weapons Too.
Unlike the previous event, merely connecting an attack is not enough: you must score three actual takedowns. Target racers when the course offers an opportunity to force a collision, rather than trading light bumps in open space.
Avoid building a large lead before you reach the three-takedown requirement. Stay involved with the pack until the takedown objective is completed, then push for the win.
6. Other Weapons Too
Track: Mawhonic Speedway, Ando Prime
Unlock: Win Whatever It Takes.
Objectives: Hit 3 opponents with Shockwave and finish 1st.
Reward: Shockwave ability and 1,000 credits.
Next event unlocked: Fear and Respect.
Save Shockwave for moments when rivals are within the ability's reach. It is easier to meet the hit requirement while several racers are close together than after you have escaped into the lead.
The requirement is for three opponents to be hit over the race; it does not specify that all three must be hit with a single activation. That stricter condition appears later, in Event 10.
7. Fear and Respect
Track: Mawhonic Speedway, Ando Prime
Unlock: Win Other Weapons Too.
Objectives: Hit 3 opponents with Ion Bolt and finish 1st.
Reward: Ion Bolt ability and 1,000 credits.
Next event unlocked: Explosive Inspiration.
This event tests accurate ability use rather than repeated close-range collisions. Line up racers before firing Ion Bolt instead of activating the attack while turning or when no target is clearly ahead.
Make the three successful hits your first priority. Once they register, use the remaining race to pass the field and finish first. This Tale is also important for players collecting all abilities.
8. Explosive Inspiration
Track: Holdfast's Folly, Lantaana
Unlock: Win Fear and Respect.
Objectives: Hit 3 opponents with Concussion Mines and finish 1st.
Reward: Concussion Mine ability and 1,000 credits.
Next event unlocked: A Pretender Approaches, subject to further Campaign progress.
Concussion Mines reward timing. The challenge is to make opponents collide with your mines, not merely to place three of them. Try using them while racers are close behind or when the pack is following a predictable line.
Check that the required hits have registered before sprinting away. If you move into first place too early with nobody close enough to trigger the mines, you can make the objective harder than necessary.
9. A Pretender Approaches
Track: Mos Espa Speedway, Tatooine
Unlock: Win Explosive Inspiration and progress further in the Campaign.
Objectives: Collide with no more than 2 mines and finish 1st.
Reward: Concussion Mine II ability and 2,000 credits.
Next event unlocked: Two Birds With One Shockwave.
This is an avoidance challenge. You can still complete the event after one or two mine collisions, but the third collision would exceed the limit. The safest approach is to keep the track ahead visible and avoid charging through groups of hazards just to preserve maximum speed.
On sections with mines, choose a reliable clear route over an aggressive shortcut. Winning is still required, so look for opportunities to make up time once the track opens up.

10. Two Birds With One Shockwave
Track: Holdfast's Folly, Lantaana
Unlock: Win A Pretender Approaches.
Objectives: Hit at least 2 opponents with a single Shockwave and finish 1st.
Reward: Magnetic Shockwave ability and 2,000 credits.
Next event unlocked: The More They Come.
This event is different from Other Weapons Too. Two separate Shockwaves that each hit one racer will not meet the objective. You need one activation to catch at least two competitors together.
Stay close to the pack until two opponents are both in range. Wait for a crowded straight or bend, use Shockwave once they are grouped, and check that the event objective has registered. Only then concentrate on winning the race.
11. The More They Come
Track: Mawhonic Speedway, Ando Prime
Unlock: Win Two Birds With One Shockwave.
Objectives: Hit 5 opponents with Multi-Bolt and finish 1st.
Reward: Multi-Bolt ability and 2,000 credits.
Next event unlocked: The Harder They Fall.
This objective requires more successful hits than earlier ability challenges. Keep enough racers nearby for Multi-Bolt to find targets instead of isolating yourself at the front immediately.
Aim Multi-Bolt at groups of racers until the event registers five hits, then focus on finishing first. Target different opponents where possible to make the objective easier to track.
12. The Harder They Fall
Track: Mos Espa Speedway, Tatooine
Unlock: Win The More They Come.
Objectives: Take down every opponent and finish 1st.
Completion reward: Finishes the twelve-Tale chain and unlocks the Old Greats Favor and Hail to the Winner, Sebulba achievement/trophy.
The final Tale is the most demanding in the chain because you cannot simply take down a fixed number of racers and pull ahead. Every opponent in the event must be taken down, and you must still win.
Approach it as two linked tasks: deal with the remaining opponents while you can still reach them, then secure first place. Use the on-screen objective progress to make sure each rival has been counted before the finish.
All Tales of Podracing rewards
The event chain provides ability rewards as well as completion milestones. Here are the ability and credit rewards for Events 4–11:
| Event | Ability reward | Credits |
|---|---|---|
| Day of the Flame Vents | Flame Vent | 2,000 |
| Whatever It Takes | Impact Surge | 2,000 |
| Other Weapons Too | Shockwave | 1,000 |
| Fear and Respect | Ion Bolt | 1,000 |
| Explosive Inspiration | Concussion Mine | 1,000 |
| A Pretender Approaches | Concussion Mine II | 2,000 |
| Two Birds With One Shockwave | Magnetic Shockwave | 2,000 |
| The More They Come | Multi-Bolt | 2,000 |
Completing Memories of Mos Espa also unlocks the Feet First Favor, and clearing all twelve unlocks Old Greats.
Tales of Podracing achievements and trophies
- Now This is Podracing! — Complete the first Tales of Podracing event.
- Hail to the Winner, Sebulba — Complete all twelve Tales of Podracing events.
You need to finish the Tales chain, not unrelated Arcade Podracing races. If a Tale does not advance, reread its win conditions and check whether you completed the secondary objective as well as placing first.

Why is A Pretender Approaches still locked?
Winning Explosive Inspiration is not its only requirement. You must also progress further through the Campaign before the event becomes available.
Which Tale unlocks Ion Bolt?
Fear and Respect, Event 7, rewards Ion Bolt after you hit three opponents with that ability and win the race.
What is the hardest Tales of Podracing event?
The Harder They Fall has the broadest takedown requirement: every opponent must be taken down while you still finish first. Two Birds With One Shockwave is another one to prepare for because it requires a multi-target hit from a single activation.
