Start by identifying the problem
S-GAME describes strong counters and softer weaknesses. Against a heavily shielded enemy, bringing an appropriate heavy or hard-hitting weapon may be more effective than repeated ordinary sword attacks. Against the Lion Dance Grandmaster, preview sources report that water and certain special tools affect its fire. These are different kinds of problems, so a one-size-fits-all build is unlikely to answer both.
Use your Phantom Edges deliberately
Secondary weapons are more than damage spikes. The Dread Axe delivers a charged hit and can break chained obstacles, while the chain-sickle offers spacing and traversal options. Think about what the current encounter is preventing you from doing and which tool changes that situation.
Evaluate accessories by their condition
Hunter Insight’s reported 15% bonus only applies against attacking enemies. A conditional effect should be evaluated against how the particular boss moves, not just compared numerically with unconditional stats. Other accessories may solve different problems once their release details are verified.
Reforge rather than hoard every material
The official full-refund reforging system is intended to support experimentation. If a newly obtained boss weapon appears relevant, test it with an upgraded setup instead of immediately declaring your original weapon obsolete. Preview progression also discourages expecting infinite material farming from respawning enemies.
What this page is not
This is a principles-based strategy page using documented mechanics. It is not an early-game best-build ranking, a complete DPS spreadsheet or a claim that all bosses require a prescribed weapon. Such rankings would need retail testing, reproducible conditions and verified numbers.
