How the health-trading mechanic works
TheSixthAxis’s October preview identifies the Outlaw War Blade as a heavy weapon with a distinctive resource trade: stronger heavy attacks drain Soul’s own health, while ordinary hits recover health. Unlike a traditional stamina-only heavy blade, this design asks whether the next attack is worth paying for with survivability.
The preview does not provide exact percentages, cooldowns, minimum-health restrictions or whether healing is granted per successful hit or according to another condition. Those numbers should be tested after release.
When the weapon might be useful
A player who can stay in range and land regular attacks consistently may be able to fund aggressive heavy strikes. Conversely, a boss with long periods of invulnerability or frequent retreats could make spending health particularly risky. This is a tactical interpretation of the published mechanic, not a verified strongest-build recommendation.
What to pair it with
The developer says accessories can complement a weapon’s intended style and that upgrades can be refunded and reassigned. Once the full accessory roster is known, this weapon will be a strong candidate for testing sustain-oriented and high-pressure builds. Until then, we are not naming unverified lifesteal effects or promising a specific setup.
Where to obtain it
No credible public preview reviewed here gives a precise unlock boss, chapter or coordinates. The acquisition field will remain open until retail gameplay or an official reward screen confirms it.
