Modern Warfare 4 No Harm Done Trophy: Dialogue Choices
Use the correct Following Orders dialogue choices to locate the defector without harming civilians and unlock No Harm Done in MW4.
The No Harm Done achievement in Modern Warfare 4 is earned in Following Orders (Mission 3) by discovering the defector's location without hurting any civilians. You can get it in the first house by searching for medicine and choosing the nonviolent interrogation responses.
The achievement is a Silver trophy on PlayStation and worth 50 Gamerscore on Xbox.
1. Search the First House Before Talking
Do not rush straight into the interrogation. Start by finding the red toolbox inside the first room on the right and entering the code 214. Open it, take the heart medicine, and read the note inside.
The toolbox is important because confiscating the medicine unlocks an extra question you can use against the husband without harming him.
You can also collect the remaining contraband and kitchen note now if you are aiming for No Stone Unturned during the same attempt.

2. Correct Dialogue Choices for the Wife
Find the wife in the kitchen and speak with her. Use these responses in order:
- “Please join your husband.”
- “I will not ask again.”
She moves to the living room. Do not attack her, fire at her, or choose any physical coercion option.
3. Correct Dialogue Choices for the Husband
Now approach the husband. Since you have already collected the heart medicine, the relevant interrogation prompt is available.
- Choose “Ask about South Korean medicine.”
- When the next options appear, choose “Give up the defector. Now.”
He gives up the defector's location without you striking a civilian. No Harm Done should unlock as soon as the information is obtained; you do not need to wait until the end of the mission.
4. Can You Get No Harm Done and No Stone Unturned Together?
Yes. Both achievements are available in Following Orders and their objectives do not conflict. To earn both in one run, collect all four contraband items and all four notes while keeping every civilian unharmed.
The first house contains four contraband items and two notes. Two more notes are in the third house. The red toolbox contains one note and the heart medicine; do not overlook the hidden cellar note later.
See All Following Orders Notes and Contraband for the full checklist.
5. Why No Harm Done May Not Unlock
- You questioned the husband before obtaining the medicine, so the peaceful prompt was not available.
- A civilian was injured during the house search or interrogation.
- You chose a violent response instead of the medicine-based dialogue.
- The husband did not actually reveal the defector's location.
If the trophy did not appear when the defector's location was revealed, restart the checkpoint before the first-house interrogation or replay Following Orders. Collect the medicine first and repeat the exact responses above.
